Hive Market July Recap: Rain, Resilience, and a Little Christmas Magic
We have a running joke at the Hive Market now—the weather is really testing our patience this year. If it’s not heat waves, it’s rain. And July brought plenty of it.
As storm clouds rolled in on market weekend, we made the tough call to ask vendors to stay home for their safety and to protect their products. It wasn’t the summer vibe we had planned, but it was the right thing to do.
That said, three brave vendors still showed up, ready to serve and connect with whoever walked through. And thanks to Tina Neely, the day was filled with surprise smiles—because Santa Claus himself stopped by to spread some Christmas in July cheer for the little ones. Even with rain in the air, joy found a way in.
Even more exciting—July 19th marked our soft launch of the HIVE MARKET’s permanent Gift & Decor Shop. And while we’re not fully decorated or stocked yet, you’d be amazed how much we were able to pull together by that weekend. Shelves are filling, new product is arriving weekly, and our landscaping even got a refresh while we wait (again!) on painters delayed by—you guessed it—more rain.
We also had a first taste of something brand new—Buzzy Cakes from The Mixing Bowl! Made with our Hive Craft Cocktails Lemon Drop flavor, they are every bit as delicious as they sound. Light, citrusy, slightly boozy, and party-perfect. We’re working with The Mixing Bowl now to set up tastings for bridal showers, girls’ night events, and custom orders for themed parties. And we’ve heard rumors that a new flavor is in the works—an Apple Pie version featuring another one of our cocktail kits. We’ll keep you posted.

Our next Hive Market event is August 16th, and we’re going all-in with a Sunflowers and Sangria theme. It’s our way of saying goodbye to our very first summer and beginning to welcome fall.
We’ve got new vendors lined up, more merchandise and décor on the way, and a few surprises in store. You’ll see our progress as we go—and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Saturday: 11 AM – 4 PM
Vendor Market: 3rd Saturday of the Month (May–October)
